Couple Costumes

Any ideas for couple costumes?
My boyfriend and I want to dress up together for halloween, but we want it to be creative and somewhat unique! Any ideas ? HELP please !!!

my boyfriend came up with an idea for a couples costume and idk how i feel about it. we are going to this huge party and i feel like it might not be considered a costume. he wants to be the cookie monster and im gonna be elmo. i like my costume idea...i have elmo shorts, an elmo shirt, a flat brim elmo hat, and elmo flip flops. but all he is planning on wearing is a flat brim cookie monster hat and a cookie monster shirt and jeans. he thinks it will look cute together. any thoughts? i am 22 and he is 28.
