How to make a budget for an organization?
I am the treasurer of the Resident Student Association at my college. I have done leadership positions in organizations before but never treasurer. RSA is head of all the residense halls and plans activities for students living on campus. I need to make the budget for the year. I have $7,000 for campus wide activities only and then at least $2500 that can go towards anything. I am expecting that number to go up about a thousand dollars though. Some of the things the president told me to budge for was: -Operating/office -public relations -Hall allocations per semster -campus wide events -we are co-sponsering a battle of the bands -A Chariety event on Halloween for kids to come trick or treat through the dorms. -housing only events -We are going to start a "Hall Cup" where one building competes against another building. I just need ideas of how to set up my budget and how much should go to each area. thank you so much.
