vinyl mask vs latex mask which is better and will last longer and more durable?

How do I adjust my vinyl mask?
It's really annoying. I bought a mask yesterday, but part of the jawline isn't folded enough so it jutts out like a tumor. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, but I'm going to use it to scare people by acting like I'm just a decoration. Basically the question is "How do I fold a bit of my vinyl mask without pretty much destroying it?"
