No matter what the event the addition of confetti can make it even more special, its a small touch but one that can really put the icing on the cake so to speak. Celebrations with confettie can include kids parties, the obvious in a wedding, anniversaries and so on. There seems to be a type for every occasion and an occasion for every type.

Wedding confetti is one of the most commonly used types, although it shouldn't be relegated to just being thrown over the new couple. There are so many different varieties it can be used for pretty much any purpose. There is of course confetti for throwing but there is the table top variety too which comes in many shapes, colours including glitter varieties.

This simple accessory is not limited to just weddings though, there are so many styles and types for certain occasions it can be used in any number of celebrations and settings. Thanks to the internet and the increasing number of online stores the options open to us are almost endless.

Birthday parties are another event that the shiny stuff can be used for. It comes in various ages and with the addition of novelty confetti such as sports themes, pirates, princesses and so on there is no end to the ways in which it can be utilised.

Annual events such as Valentines Day has the typical love heart, kiss lips and even silk rose petals, Halloween has an assortment of spiders, pumpkins, bats and spooky faces. While for Christmas there are snowmen, Santas, Christmas trees and holly. On some adult shops or online stores you can find naughty confetti suitable for stag and hen parties as well.

Every type of celebration can benefit from its use, it can be used as a table topper at a function or used to decorate a desk in the workplace. You can even fill opaque or clear balloon with it for a more expensive touch. It can be used in gift wrapping or even added to home made cards.

It can add a touch of luxury to a special evening, by using the jewel and rose petal varieties, or it can be used as a gimmick for a joke effect at a birthday party. Kids will enjoy it too because they can make a mess with it, but unlike a lot of things it is very easy to clean up afterwards. You can even use it to give decorations more sparkle and could even be used for finishing touches on costumes.

The ways in which you can utilise this shiny little accessory is endless, all you need to do is come up with a new and novel way to apply them to your special celebration. It is in someways an under used item, and n a lot of cases it is used for the standard table topping reasons, put some thought ad imagination into its use and you can really make the event even more spacial.

Halloween, communal living and a terrified preschooler?
My family (husband, me and two young children) live in a pretty decent apartment complex. My 4-yr-old is terrifed of all things Halloween after a giant spider (about 18" diameter) fell on him in the party/Halloween store. He's seriously scared to death. There is a man in our apartment who hung fake legs, arms, and decapitated heads from his balcony for decorating for Halloween, and now my son refuses to walk outside, or if he does, he wants to be carried. Do you think it's right to put up such a gruesome display where small children have to pass several times daily? Would I be out of line if I asked that he at least remove the heads? Perm.... : The difference between this and the mall Santa is that this is jointly our residence and his. I really do realize he has the right to hang them up, but we have the right to go in and out of our apartment without having a terrified child. And the only "other route" is to go out the window. We have to pass right by it. I am trying to get him to overcome his fears, but I will not force him to face his fears like that, where it can't be something he can be eased into. Good luck - I know what it's like to have a kid who's afraid of things. :) On a side note, I sure hope you let the people at the Halloween store have it.
