Who is an independent special f/x artist?
I make animatronic props for Halloween decoration and haunted houses. I am looking for somebody that can help me improve the looks of my items with some custom made latex hands, etc. I can be reached at areyouscared@hilltopzombieshop.com

Where to buy or how to make an up/down motorized prop for Halloween?
Halloween is around the corner and I want to make a simple prop that goes up and down slowly (maybe 5-10 pounds, maybe less). Is there an inexpensive way to acheive this? There are lots of spinning motors like this available for cheap: http://cgi.ebay.com/Spinning-Motor-Halloween-Prop-KIT-Ready-to-Run-NIB_W0QQitemZ170145395955QQihZ007QQcategoryZ33801QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Instead of spinning I'd just like it to go up and down, preferably several feet. Someone suggested I buy a toy that already has the mechanism and take it out or reassemble it with my new decoration, but I can only find this: http://www.apogeekits.com/santa_claus_xmsc4.htm
I don't think it will be strong enough for the weight but it is an example of what I'm trying to achieve. I think there are some "falling" Halloween props like spiders and bats also that use batteries, but I don't need something motion activated, etc. Something with a motor that I can plug would be better. Thanks.
